Unable to ping Server

I had to reformat and restore my system disk on a PowerEdge 1800.  Now I can't ping the server from my client computers.  PE1800 (192.168.0.12) runs Windows Exchange SBS 2003, clients (143 and 108, IP addresses served from router) run WIndows XP.  All computers can ping router (192.168.0.2), which is the DHCP server.  Server can ping both clients, and router.

The entire network worked until I shut it down to reformat the drive.  I had to restore the OS from the CD and the backup from tape.

The restore process was:
install OpenManage Server Asst (for RAID)
install OS as called by Server manager Asst
Reboot from HD, for tape driver
restore from tape with unconditional overwrite
reboot.
I found admin password was correct, and several user passwords were correct, so I believe restore was OK.
Users reported that EMail wasn't working.
It seemed that the exchange clients and servers weren't communicating
I finally checked the system with ping and found this strange situation.

Sounds like maybe the firewall is enabled on the server and blocking traffic or something with subnetting...
What are all the ip address' and subnet masks and are there any switches in the network?

Router (DHCP server): 192.168.0.2
Server (Static IP): 192.168.0.12
CLient A:192.168.0.143
Client B: 192.168.0.109
S can ping R, A, and B.
A can ping R & B; A cannot ping S.
B can ping R & B; B cannot ping S.
MS Exchange services, such as Email don't work.
All clients and server can reach the internet.
The AD seems to work; I can log in on clients as the domain administrator.

the WIndows Firewall/ICS service on the server is stopped; the router does have some firewall capabilities (Netgear FFVS 318 from Dell), but they are not enabled.   TCP/IP filtering is not enabled on the serrver.
