Upgrading OS SSD mirror RAID1 drives
Hi I have a dell poweredge R750xa with idraq 9 running rocky linux that is low on space!
it has a pair of SATA SSD's 2.5" in mirror set RAID 1 of size 223GB formatted ( 240GB ? )
in idraq they appears as nvme_ssd RAID-1
I just want to replace them with 1TB SSD's
Whats the best way of doing this ?
in ideal world all my linux server files an folders remain intact an be presented with more space
in the old days something like partition magic or norton ghost would be a way.
Im hoping dell have thought of a snazzy way can break mirror set swop an rebuild so it presents bigger?
in reality im guessing it will be much tricker than this!
thoughts?

Hello,
Dell recommends to backup, replace drives (same type), create array, install and restore from backup.
Creating a virtual disk from a mix of different types of physical disks. For example, a RAID 10 virtual disk cannot be created from two SATA HDD physical disks and a SATA SSD physical disk.
All the physical disks must be of the same drive type (HDD/SSD/NVMe PCIe SSDs).
