DELL serial connection
I have 2 DELL 3820i that I don't know the IP addresses too. I am having the issue of connecting to the via the STUPID serial cable DELL sent.
Of course there are NO laptops with serial connections so I used a dongle that has a USB connection to connect to the DELL serial cable. The interface does not work and keeps making me put the baud in over and over again.
I found a docking station to plug the DELL laptop in and the serial cable in. This has the same issue or worse?
Why is DELL sending out serial cables when non of their laptops even use them?
How do you get DELL laptops and these devices to work with the serial cable?

Hello WSFUtah,
What is the settings that you are using when trying to connect via serial? You want to use (115200-8-n-1).
Do you have any system in your network that has MDSM installed on it?
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
