Difficulty Replacing 2x Failing HDD's
error on getting drive ready for replacementGood day.
I need assistance in replacing 2x Physical Drives, 1 of which is failing and secondary failed.
Failed drive bay in bypassed state and cannot initiate new HDD. Failing HDD needs replacement but unable to power down drive safely for replacement. Procured replacement Dell HDD's for this storage array.
Need assistance please.

Hello @Wernersp45,
What disks are you using for replacement? Can you share the model?
This error normally is related to the user or password. Are you correctly using an admin user?

Resolved: Server is buggy in some sense, the Dell HDD was discovered after about 6 hours and was able to assign as hotspare - Data recovery is in progress.
It appears this MD3200i is buggy in some sense but not surprised due to its age and used over the past 12 years.
Will be upgrading to new server gear soon and then this unit will be retired for non-critical use.
