Disk Failed MD3400
I am using a Dell MD3400 server connected to three Dell servers for camera storage, with RAID 5 configuration. Currently, the disk in slot 0 has failed. What precautions should I take when replacing the disk in slot 0? Do I need to stop the recording software before replacing the disk?"

Phucteam,
This would depend on if the drive is in a failed or predicted failed.
First though I would ensure you have a recent backup of your data before proceeding with the disk replacement.
Now if the drive is showing as Predicted Failure in MDSM you would follow the steps here.
If the drive is showing as Failed, with a red X in MDSM, then you would simply remove and replace the drive.
As far as the software, it should be fine with it being a Raid 5, as long as it is just a single drive that failed.
Let me know if this helps.
