PowerVault ME4024 install security certificate

Hi all,

I have a ME4024 with top controller ip (for example) 192.168.1.100 and bottom controller ip 192.168.1.200

I need to install the security ceritifcate released by our internal CA. I've followed these instructions https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/it-it/powervault-me4012/me4_series_ag_pub/install-a-security-certificate?guid=guid-5693f5f5-014b-41bb-8772-c901b5032623&lang=en-us but there something I can't understand

- in which format the certificate should be?

- in which format the key should be?

- which name I should give to the files?

At the last point of the guide, they say "reboot both the management controllers". But the first certificate I can install is only valid for 192.168.1.100 and not for 192.168.1.200. So, how should I upload the certificate for the other controller ip?

Any hint on these points?

Thanks

Hello N2Z2,

I had a similar case like this recently : https://www.dell.com/community/PowerVault/ME4-SSL-Cert-from-CA/m-p/7869855#M32721

A forum member posted this guide that was helpful:

https://www.storcom.com/installing-ca-ssl-certificates-on-hpe-msa-array/

Please let me know if that is helpful for you.

Awesome, it works!

I need to use 2048 rsa key and set x509 SAN, no other extensions.

Thanks a lot
