Request for quotation for remote software maintenance on MD3820F

We have one disk on a RAID enclosure showing virtual disks with "failed mode".

This happened in the aftermath of a non scheduled power outage.

It is not possible to put it back to "optimal mode" by following the usual steps.

Such problem occured already in the past and was properly addressed by Dell technician but the equipment is now out of warranty and we are advised by Dell pro support to look for a quotation through this forum.

Urgent. Please kindly provide contact details of the relevant person we shall contact.

Thanks

Hello Request4DELLsupport,

What will need to happen is that will need to look at a support bundle to see why the virtual disk is offline.  With this error what is needed is to review the support bundle and see if all the drives in the virtual disk are showing as online or not.  If all drives are showing as online, then we will need to make sure that all drives booted up in the correct order.  If the drives didn’t boot in the correct order, then you will need to fail all drives in the virtual disk and then revive the virtual disk so that all drives should be seen again, and virtual disk group should come online.  I will send you a private message so that you can send me the support bundle.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
