Compatibility issues of GPU with T3500 Machine
I looked throughout the internet and found many people who said that due their bios, they are unable to upgrade the graphics card. I have a T3500 system and i am not sure whether the graphics card i will add will work.
I want to add an RTX 2060 or an RTX 3050 but i am quite confused because people say that they only work on uefi bios.. is this true? Can i add these cards to my t3500 machine and it will not work? I am not sure since some are saying that their RTX 2060 worked on their machines. Some people are saying that T3500 can easily support these 3rd generation Nvidia cards

@Viceroy
Proof is out there. However models like 3080 and 3090 will be an issue due to power and physical space. I used a 3080 but it was a founders edition model and I upgraded power supply to evga 850B.

You will find however that the pci-e 2.0 bus and DDR3 ram are holding you back. If you want better gaming a GTX 3060 will work fine. Investing in GPU is fine but investing in CPU or Ram to upgrade ancient model is not a good return on investment.

You mean that your RTX 3080 worked on the T3500 motherboard with no issues? I believe if i can buy rtx 3050, it will run on my t3500?

@Viceroy
This model uses Tri channel memory model.
So use 3 or 6 sticks of identical ram to get max ram performance.
24 gigs is max supported by Dell and its not expensive for CAS 11 Low density DDR3 4 gig ram sticks.

@Viceroy , a very first significant change you can make for your system is to upgrading the hard drive to an SSD. You will see the improvement right away.

I bought the card and used it. It worked fine with no issues
I wanted to ask that i had a 6 pin connector on the T3500 power supply. I connected that with a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter. The wire is 18 AWG. I wanted to ask you that would that adapter be okay? I really hope there is no fire bcs that would damage the GPU.
Secondly, i asked many people and they told me that T3500's power supply cannot be replaced by any other power supply? Is that true?

With latest BIOS (that is version A17 if I remember correctly) and a PSU with 8pin pcie power supply to the GPU, RTX 2060 works fine. But the case part that secures the expansion cards, cannot close properly due to the shape and dimensions of the GPU. It may be possible to modify the case, but i did not try. I just removed the GPU.
