Critical BIOS bug in Precision 7875 causes lockups and freezing at boot

Sir,

Can a Dell employee please send this bug report to an engineer so that they can fix the BIOS in an upcoming version, please?

All Dell Precision 7875 bios released thus far (including the latest version 2.5.0) suffer a critical bug that causes the system to hang/freeze at boot, while showing the UEFI Dell logo screen.

The bug is triggered by connecting a Micron U.2/U.3 drive (we have confirmed the bug with a Micron 7500 U.3 SSD and a Micron 9400 U.3 SSD, but it probably affects many other brands and models)

The bug occurs independently of where you plug the SSD drive. You can plug it into an empty PCIe slot (using a carrier card), or you can plug it into one of the MCIO 4x ports of the mainboard (using an MCIO to U.3 cable).  The computer will freeze at boot on both situations.

Please, if any Dell employee reads this post, please escalate it to the team of engineers working on Precision 7875 bios.

It's a widespread problem affecting many many people!
