Dear, can i use this cpu for T7910?

Dear,

i wanna upgrade my T7910, and i found this cpu E5-2687W V3 LGA 2011-3 socket but it has strange code on its cover, so im not sure it could be fixed on T7910 or not!

Please take a look on the picture and give me your advice!

Probably! Officially, the T7910 only supports E5-2600 v4 Xeons. However, since the v4 and v3 processors use the same LGA 2011 socket design, the E5-2687W v3 will fit your motherboard.

There is a good chance that it will work, but I offer no guarantees! It's up to you.

Google the CPUID on each of those CPU's.  If it's same, you're on luck.

T7910 support both v3 and v4 of E5-2687W,
it was for some time sold with this CPU.
Please make sure you have updated your BIOS, some CPU have a minimum required BIOS version.
I belive it was minimum A12 for 2600 v4. Currently the version is 34.
