Dell Precision 5820 POST Critical Error Front IO Cable Failure

Question

Hello,I have a fresh workstation computer that is often used for remote work giving a POST start up critical error when booting up. The error is a Front IO Cable Failure error, however all of the IO ports on the front panel work as expected. I have tried turning off the POST errors in the BIOS but cannot get this error to stop appearing before windows boots. I have also opened the case and reseated all of the connections on the front IO board and on the motherboard. I have tried removing and replacing the motherboard battery to clear CMOS. This error prevents users from being able to remotely use the computer in the case that they need to do a system reboot (which happens fairly regularly). What options are there to resolve this error? Even just disabling the POST bootup check would satisfy the situation but I can't seem to find any resources on doing that.

Hi

remove the I/O panel cover and check the cables that go there. I had one cable at an angle, I inserted it properly and the error message disappeared :-)
