Dell T5820 NVMe
I installed Windows 11 on my Dell 5820.I am using an NVMe M2 drive using the PCI-e slots on the motherboard.
There are two PCI-E SFF-8643. I am using the StarTech.com M.2. PCI-e NVMe to U.2 (SFF-8639) Adapter.
After installation of the operating system Windows sees the main NVMe drive with the OS as a removable device.
Wondering if this is normal or was there a setting I missed.

Hello,
it's normal. I have the boot drive in the Dell nvme oem front carrier, and it shows from the start as removable in windows. Not that you can do it anyway, since it's locked due to being the boot drive.
