HDD temperature sensor on T7600 and intrustion switch

I accidentally dislodged one of the wires on the HDD temperature sensor wire that plugs into the board on the T7600 I am rebuilding.  Since I'm installing  SSDs, I'm hardly worried about the temperature.  Am I okay to just unplug the now-faulty sensor cable, or will this cause diagnostic errors?

Similarly, there was no intrusion switch on my T7600 when I bought it.  On an earlier Dell I recall that removal of this item caused a lot of grief.  Can anyone tell me if the switch is obligatory on the T7600?

Hi @Guswah ,

T7600 share the same chassis design with T5600. For your reference that my T5600 did not come with the mentioned sensor and intrusion switch, and it still works fine. No diagnostic errors. It should be fine with yours as well.

P.S. Temperature can be detected by some tools even without the HDD temperature sensor.
