How many GPU cards can I fit to a Precision 7920 tower system?
I am considering purchasing a Precision 7920 CL with the Dual nVidia Quadro RTX4000 GPU card option pre-installed, which I assume will use two of the PCIe 3.0x16 slots? Or is this one of the new nVidia dual GPU cards with two GPU chips inside that uses one PCIe slot?
If I bought this with the Dual nVidia Quadro RTX4000 GPU option, can I later fit any more GPU cards to this system?

Hi @andyt22imp ,
"Dual" here means dual graphics cards but not dual GPU on one card. And yes two of the PCIe 3.0 x16 slots will be occupied.
Precision 7920 supports up to 900W of graphics power and up to 3 double width graphics cards up to 300W each including consumer cards, and even 4 single width cards like RTX4000. You may locate the "Triple and Quad" GPU options during online purchase.

That would look to be 2 separate video cards. If you look at the price of a single card, the dual option is double that price, therefore 2 physical cards.

Thanks for the detailed reply which answers my question perfectly - my end-user will go for one of these with at least 2 Quadro RTX4000 GPU's factory-fitted at the time of ordering.
cheers, Andy
