LSI card in Precision 5820
Hey all,
Scratching my head on this one. I have a Precision 5820 tower that I'm trying to get the drives onto an ESXi compatible RAID card. I have 4x 1TB SSD's in the machine and the drives all show up fine as JBOD. They're installed in the factory caddy in the front of the unit.
I purchased a DELL LSI 9440-8i and I'musing an SFF-8643 to 8643 cable to connect the LSI to the 8643 ports on the motherboard. No matter what I do, I cannot get the drives to show up in the controller configuration.
It's a Dell part: YW3J6
Any insight? Am I missing something simple?
