PRECISION 5810 | BOOT ON POWER

Hello,

I've recently updated my BIOS & lost the ability for to boot up automatically when the power is turned on. Within the BIOS setup I can see "Power Management/AC Recovery" which is set to "Power on" but this only relates to when power has been restored following a power loss, not when the system has been shut fown normally so doesn't do what I want. I know it's possible because it's been working for several years but I just can't find the setting now to reactivate it.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated, thanks!

Was your C drive healthy before you flashed the BIOS?

1. Remove the C drive from your computer, to ensure that you do not overwrite it.

2. Try an alternative device, such as a bootable USB or a DVD, and see if that works.

3. If the alternative boots, the problem is your C drive. If not, it's something else.
