Precision T5810 685W Power Supply Upgrade Does not fit

This is probably a weird question, but I have a T5810 with 425W Power Supply and I purchased a 685W from Amazon. The location of the guide slot on the 685 is slightly closer to the edge of the case so the slot does not align with the matching guide on the chassis. The photo in the listing even looks more like my 425W, so I am wondering if they sent me a 685W meant for a different series. The 685W connector has more contact points on the connector as well. I found that I can switch the top plate of the PS case and then the 685W will slide in no problem, but I am not sure if it safe to try this so I have not turned it on yet. Any ideas? te6v2eun0i071.jpg

Amazon shows that part for the 5810 but that is not the correct part number. That PSU is listed for the 5610. This forum post has more information on the correct PSU which is part number VDY4N for the 685W and YFY1V for the 425W. Also see this web page for a retailer's description. And here for Amazon.

Really appreciate the information, I was not aware that I could go up to 825 watts so that was a bonus, I found a good deal on one on Ebay. Thanks for your help!
