T3600 not passing boot screen

Hi, I’ve recently acquired a Precision T3600 and I have updated the BIOS to A18 and since then it hasn’t passed the boot screen.

I have attempted to enter the boot options and the BIOS option with the keyboard connected directly into the motherboard and I’ve had no joy...

I may add that I have disconnected RAID and it was running without RAID prior to the update. I’m assuming this is the issue, but can anyone advise any ways around?

thanks in advance.

You have a precision workstation.

You do not know how to install F6 mass storage drivers.

The PERC drivers are not the same as the onboard sata and you cannot use sata drives for the SAS Raid controller. If you are trying to use Sata Drives on the onboard intel REMOVE THE RAID controller.

This is not a one click one boot water chicken install

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-in/000148150

  1. Driver Installation for RAID Controllers During an OS Reload
  2. Installation of RAID driver with Intel Controller
  3. Installation of RAID driver with LSI Controller
  4. Installation of RAID driver with PERC Array

AND

You are crashing at black screen of death.

This is not the psychic friends network so we dont even know what version of windows you are using nor do we know if you have REAL installation media such as an OEM system builder DVD.

There are too many variables to deal with if you are trying to install with USB flash media.  Use a real DVD

You install windows with the dvd on the onboard intel sata to a sata hard drive.  There is support for installing an OS but that support is not free.

Depending on the configuration this is a 2.5 drive or a 3.5 drive
