T5500 Non-ECC DIMMs not supported (ALL non-ecc, identical, not mixed)
T5500 A18 bios and Xeon E5506 processor
upgraded all 6 memory slots with DDR3 non-ECC memory
Getting error. non-ecc dims not supported.
Spec sheets on the T5500 state non-ECC can be used.
Forums hint at RMT check is the issue, however, I don't see where I can turn this off in the bios.
Question: how do I fix this so I can use my non-ECC memory on this PC. .

I could be wrong but I believe the Xeon CPU requires ECC so there would be nothing in the BIOS to enable Non-ECC RAM.

Your computer uses 1066 MHz and 1333Mhz DDR3 unbuffered or registered ECC SDRAM memory. It does not support non-ECC memory. You can use RDIMM only.
