T7920 NVMe backplane with HW raid
Hi All,
Disclaimer: I understand that this is not officially supported configuration but I would like to check if somebody is aware of any fundamental issues with the setup or incompatibility.
I have T7920 with NVMe backplanes in two Flex bays. Both work as expected when connected directly to motherboard. I have a need for a HW raid-5.
Perc11/H755 seems to be reasonable priced for the performance, so I gave it a try and as of right now it doesn't work (doesn't detect nvme and/or backplane)
Questions:
* Have anyone tried to use Dell T7920 NVMe backplane with any NVMe or TriState controllers ?
* Is H755 "locked" to Dell backplanes ? Can it theoretically work with 3d party backplanes like one icedock ?
P.S
Firware is updated to latest version
WRT to cable, other users on this forum reported a success with using DiliVing SlimSAS LP 8X to 2*MiniSAS HD 4X,SFF-8654 LP cables with h755 in Dell servers. So I'm using a pair of these.

The Precision 7920 has been tested and validated with the following storage controllers. While using unsupported controllers, some could work, others won't be recognized by the BIOS firmware.
