Why are Precision 690 and T7400 memory risers platform specific?
Hi everyone!
What's so special in those risers so they are not compatible with any other motherboard?
I've connected power cables, but my Intel D5400XS refuses to boot with them. I'd like to know more technical details.

Dell is very proprietary. By not allowing certain part swaps in between different Dell models, it's probably easier for them to keep selling machines that way and stay ahead of the competition.
