Your Device Ran Into a Problem.
Hi there,
I just bought a Dell precision t5810 workstation with these specs:
Intel Xeon E5 2686 v4 processor
(18 cores , 36 threads, 45Mb cache)
msi GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 Graphics card
32GB ram
256GB ssd
So the problem is, I recently installed windows 11 pro and and was installing some drivers then suddenly it crashed and the same old blue screen error showed up “Your device ran into a problem and we’re gathering some info…………..”. I thought my windows file was corrupted so I downloaded it officially from microsoft but the same error hit again after logging into computer and using it for 5-10 minutes. Then I thought it might not be compatible with windows 11 so I downloaded windows 10 and the error was still hitting. I was trying to upgrade the drivers but it doesn’t give me enough time to install the drivers, everytime I restart the computer it crashes within 10 minutes. I still can’t understand the problem. Can anybody help ?

Try replacing the size 2032 CMOS battery. The T5810 was introduced in 2014 and the battery has likely not been replaced for some time. Not only do bad batteries cause unusual problems, I had a very similar problem with my 3620 until I replaced the battery.
If by chance the issue persists, we'll go from there.
Smart move getting Windows from the Microsoft site.

Hi Brad,
Thanks for replying to my query. You are suggesting to replace the CMOS battery but the person whom I bought it from was running it flawlessly and I checked the computer completely just two days ago and everything was fine. But I’ll still try to check the battery. Don’t you think the issue might be with the SSD ?
Because after running it for 10 minutes when it crashes, it automatically restarts itself and show the error “Alert, No bootable device found” . But when I shut it down completely and then start it, it performs a clean boot.

Glad you got it working. :) Not too often the SSD is faulty.
Battery is still often the 1st thing to check as low batteries affects BIOS.
