Battery replacement/upgrade for Precision 3530 (from 68Wh to 92Wh)
Hello,
I have a Precision 3530 laptop. It had an 2.5" HDD and a 4-cell 68Wh battery.
I changed the HDD to a SSD M.2 2280 and now I have a lot of empty space near the battery.
Since the battery is approaching it's end of life I want to replace it with a 6-cell 92Wh which is bigger.
The physical space is enough I think but I'm worried if it is compatible. All information I see online says it is, but the specs of batteries are rather different:
4-cell 68Wh battery has 8500mAh and 7.6V
6-cell 92Wh battery has 8070mAh and 11.4V
Will the difference in voltage affect my station? Will I break it?

SOLVED!
I recently ordered a 6-cell 92Wh battery (8070mAh and 11.4V) type VG93N and replaced my old and almost dead 4-cell 68Wh battery (8500mAh and 7.6V) type GJKNX.
I did the replacement myself since the laptop is out of warranty and all went super smooth.
The laptop works great, the operation is a success, I am very pleased!
To protect the battery life I use Dell Power Manager to limit the charging at 60% and to start charging at 40%.

The system will take a 4-cell or a 6-cell battery - see here:
