Cannot boot into windows 10, get message "press f1 key to retry boot"

Every time I shut down and boot the computer, or simply just rebooting, I get the message

"press f1 key to retry boot

press f2 key for setup utility

press f5 to run onboard diagnostics"

I press f1 and it boot perfectly into windows 10, but I have to do this every single time I boot my laptop.

Any help?

My computer was working perfectly until I used Dell's SupportAssist to install updates and only after these updates did this bug appear. In case this info. is useful, all the updates installed (again, only after these updates, did this bug appear) were the following:

Was a solution ever determined for this issue?

We have a freshly imaged Latitude experiencing the exact same oddity. The problem may have predated its latest re-imaging.

Any information is appreciated!

Updating the BIOS is the resolution for this issue. Just in case someone else has this quirk in the future.

Installed BIOS version 1.9.1
Dell Command only tries to push 1.35.0, which fails.
Windows Update tries to push 1.22.2, which also fails.
BIOS must be updated incrementally one step at a time. Somewhere around the 1.13.0 and 1.15.1 firmware updates, the retry boot prompt stopped showing up.
