Dell m6600 fan upgrade

The cooling system on that machine is more than adequate for all of the configurations that came in that machine.

In my old Precision M6600 I had the i7 2860QM, and Quadro 4000M.  There was enough extra cooling headroom that I was overclocking the Quadro card with no heat issues.

Honestly, it is an old machine... You should probably download the service manual, disassemble the machine, clean the heatsinks and fans, and then apply fresh thermal compound.

The error is on the CPU fan and GPU fan. 

I have an error on this laptop. On video fan and GPU fan. 

I've changed The fans and The error is still The same and runs chaotically. 

I've update the bios. What is your opinion? Maybe the motherboard has a problem on the temperature senzor? 

Have you run any monitoring software to check what temperature the CPU and GPU are getting up to?

The fans will turn off when the system decides that the temperatures are low enough then turn back on when they get high enough.

Something that you might want to try to distribute some of the cooling job between both fans.  Turn off graphics switching in the bios (Then reinstall the Nvidia graphics driver).  The CPU is only cooled by one of the fans.  With switchable graphics turned on, in most situations the entire cooling job for the computer is on one fan because of the graphics built into the CPU.  Making the above change turns off the intel graphics, and uses the Nvidia card instead.  This allows the system to more effectively cool the system by using both fans as needed.

Turning off the switchable graphics is the first thing I do on every Dell Precision laptop that I have ever owned.
