Dell precision 7510 booting issue

Question

Hello, I have a dell precision 7510, and I have an issue where every time I turn it off I have to disconnect and reseat the bios battery or else it won't turn on.and If i disconnect and reconnect it without reseating the bios battery then the right most light indicator in the fron of the laptop chassis turns on for several seconds and nothing happens, no boot anything.

Have you tried replacing the battery with a brand new recently purchased CMOS battery? Amazon has one here, though it is a little surprising if so as that laptop is not very old.

I have not tried that but Im not sure that's the problem since even If i take the cmos battery out I still get a weird issue where I have to disconnect and hold the power button fpr 15 seconds for the laptop to work again after shutofd
