Dell Precision 7520 GPU throttling Quadro M2200

I have the same issue but with the AMD board the wx 4130 and after about 5 minutes of furmark it drops from 1053 to 320mhz and will not go back up and that is as soon as it passes 71 degrees. Same with games like fortnight or anything else other then benchmark as they don't take long enough. Not hot at all for a video card. So I don't know what's going one will contact Dell after vacation. I will also try a older bios file.

Same issue. Precision 7520 amd pro wx 4130. Always stuck at 342 MHz

(1) Running less than a 180W PSU on my 7510 significanty throttles your graphics card in my experience this manifested itself "invisibly" via benchmark results not GPU speed / power to GPU

And -

(2) I have uninstalled ANY software that says "Dell Power xxx ..." or any Dell Power Plans as Dell may built additional software level GPU controls into this (I have experienced this with fans working sub-optimally i.e. loud, not turning off etc)

Caveat - I have no experience with AMD cards on the 75xx series, only with a Nvidia M1000M and Nvidia GTX965M

My 7510 certainly throttles on power (seems to be Dell Bios locked) but will still boost a GTX965M to 1300 MHz solidly when gaming but it runs "hot". An M2200 boosts to 1036 MHz stock and should run cooler

Assuming your running switchable graphics (Optimus), my suggestion would be to uninstall first your Nvidia driver, then your Intel Graphics driver using "DDU" in Safe Mode

Then install the first generation Dell OEM drivers (that will install on your 7520) - first Intel, then NVidia. If that works better it might confirm a driver issue?

Installing the drivers out of order, or the "latest-and-theoretically-greatest" drivers doesn't always work well in my experience

If you still have the issue then it's strange. The M2200 has a TDP power draw of 55W vs the 75W on my GTX965M so I'm suprised you get power throttling on a M2200 UNLESS you were running at the full M2200 boost of 1036MHz and even then it seems surprising because you have a lot more headroom than me ... could be the Bios version

fwiw I benchmark my card using Valley Benchmark and GPU-Z (voltage and temperatures): it cycles stable on Valley up to about 1320MHz with a consistent power draw of 1.0370V on GPU Voltage (Bios throttles)
