DELL Precision m4600 4K?

Hi,

I have a DELL Precision m4600 laptop with nVIDIA Quadro 1000M.

Could someone tell me, if there's a way I could connect a 4K monitor to it, and use them simultaneously?

thank you

No.  The system is far too old to output 4K video.

@ejn63 Hi! Thank you for your answer. But could you elaborate a little bit? Which part of my system is too old? I read these other posts and they indicate, there's a possibility.

The system dates from over 10 years ago. It can output FHD resolution externally but not 4K.  And even if 4K were possible, the performance would render it just about unusable.

I do know it can output 2K, not just FHD. Are the commenters wrong in the others posts? Why do they indicate it can?

I was thinking the video card should make the difference. Are you saying, that switching to an AMD firepro M5950 wouldn't make any change?
