DELL XPS 15 7590 Graphics Card

Hello!

I have been investigating my computer specs in order to find out if they meet the hardware requirements for two 3d software I am looking to install, Houdini and Cinema 4d. I am writing here today to ask some graphic card specific questions that I am not quite sure about.

I own a 2019 DELL XPS 15 7590 laptop. When investigating my computer specs I learned that the laptop is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. When it comes to the hardware requirements for Cinema4d and Houdini they have the following criteria:

Cinema4d: “OpenGL graphics card supporting OpenGL 4.1 or newer”

Houdini: “A GL4.0 compliant graphics card is required. NVIDIA GeForce GPUs: 440 or higher.”

My question is: Does the NVIDIA graphics card built into my computer meet the requirements mentioned above? I am not very familiar with this jargon.

Furthermore both software seem to also suggest the use of a “dedicated GPU.” Although it is not mentioned as an essential requirement for the software it is very highly recommended. Is the NVIDIA card built into my computer a dedicated GPU?

Last but not least, am I able to upgrade or change the graphics card on my DELL XPS 15 7590 laptop? In the case that this built in graphics card is not powerful enough for the 3d programs could I pay for a more powerful Graphics card?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry but you cannot upgrade the graphics as it is soldered to the system board and there is no optional slot.
