Graphic Card Update Dell Precision 7710

Hello everyone,

I own a Dell Precision 7710 and i would like to upgrade my graphic card. My current graphic card is AMD FirePro W5170M and im a looking for something better. I have asked around and im torn if i should or not as some services say that I should not and some say i should. I would like a professional opinion on this if my laptop can have its graphic card updated and which one would be compatible. I have read online that Nvidia M5000M is compatible but i am not sure. Unfortunately you are not able to upgrade the graphics cards that comes in the Precision mobile workstations with different graphic cards.

These cards are direct drop in upgrades for your Precision 7710 after you purchase the Nvidia MXM-B Heatsink.  The 7710 came with the option for a Quadro M3000M, M4000M, or M5000M

You will need to swap the heatsink to the Nvidia MXM-B versoin (DPN: YJNJK)
Quadro M3000M 4GB (DPN: H99YY)
Quadro M4000M 4GB (DPN: 4XR03)
Quadro M5000M 8GB (DPN: 1JY2V)

All of these will outperform your current GPU.
