I Hate my Dell Precision 7550
I'm writing this on the community forum, since after making 11 phone calls to 5 different numbers and spending hours getting routed to a voice saying, " this department is closed today" recording I was frustrated to no end...
Through the advice of an pro-Dell independent IT support pro, I ordered the 7550 with docking station around Christmas. It was delivered quickly but sat in the box for two weeks because my IT guy had health issues and was hospitalized. When we finally got around to transferring files and getting the 7550 set up it was late January and I went on a business trip. The Precision is just too heavy to travel with(power cord too), so I contacted the small biz team at around 40 days after purchase to ask if I could return it for something lighter and easier to travle with.
I was told that the 30 day return policy had elapsed but they would make the request, and after weeks and weeks of probing by my assigned small biz rep, he finally told me that management wasn't budging.
He did offer that I contact Customer Care, and now I've been in the continuous loop of "this department is closed today.."
Now, every time when I pack up my things to go on a business trip I regret my purchase.

The return period is 30 days -- it does not extend due to buyer's remorse. If you're not happy, sell the system and purchase a suitable replacement.

So you didn't notice the box was heavy when it arrived? I guess you forgot to include in your requests you wanted something smaller like an XPS Ultrabook. You have to admit you have got yourself real hotrod performance wise. Not sure what you do with your system, but it seems your IT guy thought you needed high performance, which you now have.
In the end seems your beef is with your IT guy or your oversight. A 30 day exchange policy is as good as any manufacturer will provide. As far as your wait for customer service, any employer will tell you employees are tough to find post-COVID-19. I am an engineer in the field and believe me customer service is not a coveted position.
