Need help with SSD and UEFI boot

So a little while ago I had a problem with the laptops battery it was almost dead and someday it shut down my system while it was running because it broke and as you'll know the results were dead boot and data loss, I had to reinstall windows on my other drive because my SSD isn't simply working? its not visible on partition manger nor anything (we've opened the laptop before and the SSD seemed to be fine but the system isn't reading it for some reason?) and the laptop became so slow in general and buggy despite being high end (8gb RAM, i7 core , etc.) and the boot is very VERY slow...and UEFI boot doesn't work anymore I am working on legacy it just displays "no bootable devices were found"

the laptop is a precision M6800

I am very new here just created the account so be nice

UEFI uses the GPT partition type for the drive

Legacy uses MBR partition

If the drive is set to GPT for UEFI and the system reverts to Legacy then the drive cannot be used until it is set to MBR, easily done through Command Prompt. This usually means having to clean/format the drive and losing all your data.

If you are able to set the system to UEFI again then the SSD should be able to be seen and used but then the other drive will probably have the same issue if it's set to GPT now you're on Legacy, or if you want to stay on Legacy then you can open Command Prompt (as administrator) and use Diskpart to change the SSD to GPT.

If the drive still isn't visible then it has a problem or you may need to reseat it.
