Nvidia Optimus in M6600 does not work with some programs and games

I have Dell Precision M6600 workstation with i7 2720qm, 8 Gb RAM 1600 MHz (2x4 Gb), NVIDIA Quadro 3000m, SSD Team 240 Gb.

BIOS version is latest - A18. Windows 10 Pro 1903 x64 Licensed.

All drivers and windows updates is latest. Nvidia drivers 377.83. Nvidia Optimus in BIOS is enabled. All settings in Intel HD Graphics Control Panel and NVIDIA Control Panel is default.

When I'm trying to start any game, it launch with Intel GPU, even if i start the game with NVIDIA GPU preferred.

Games and programs works perfectly with NVIDIA GPU when the Optimus is disbled in BIOS. But I need to be Optimus enabled and ability to start some programs and gamed with Nvidia GPU preferred.

When I try to change some settings in Intel HD Graphics Control Panel and NVIDIA Control Panel, I've succsessfully launched the game with NVIDIA GPU but it was once. Unfotunately I didn't remember which settings it was. I've tried thousand combinations of settings in both GPU control panels but can't find proper one again.

Can anybody help me?

P.S. I've hear that is win 10 problem and in win 7 is all works fine. But I can't migrate to win 7 in some reasons.

Hello,

I was having troubles with my video editing software after a system rebuild (Win 10 pro on Dell Precision M6600 w/ 32GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 1T HDD), and it came down to me simply disabling Optimus in the BIOS.

Once I disabled Optimus, the nvidia drivers automatically updated for the Quadro 4000M chip, and after the next reboot, my software ran fine.
