Precision 5530 - Support Assist Battery Warning when booting
Hi,
We have a Precision 5530 that has started showing a Dell Support Assist message each time it boots.
I've ran the diagnostics and no problems are found.
I've checked the battery status in the bios and it shows that it's ok.
Is this something to be concerned about or is it just a message to say that the battery hasn't got much charge remaining?

Support Assist is right. The battery needs to be replaced. Batteries last only about 2 years now. You must get a new one from Dell or a trusted Dell Parts company. Many scams online and marketplace sites like Amazon, Ebay, etc. with lots of private sellers- many counterfeit or used batteries. You can remove the battery and use the adapter alone on most recent laptops. It's hard to get genuine new Dell batteries these days.
