Precision 5550 - Bluetooth not working

Hi,

When I enable Bluetooth pairing with my device, it does not show up on my PC. In fact, no devices show up on my PC. I go to Bluetooth, Add device, and I select Bluetooth. It starts scanning, but nothing shows up. When I do the same on my phone, I get tons of TV's, headphones and more. I'm at work. This is my work PC.

I called support, and they recommended I go to BIOS, turn off BT support, launch into windows, then go back into BIOS and turn BT back on. That seemed to work, but now it's back to this state again, and that trick does not work. I have a colleage who also has a Dell laptop, and he has the same problem. We work with BT, so it's a critical issue. Other colleages run a different brand of laptops and do not have the issue.

I'm running windows 11. I've used SupportAssist and updated my drivers. I've run the SupportAssist troubleshooter, which reports no problems with Bluetooth.

Driver version seems to be Microsoft 6/21/2006 10.0.22621.1555

Device Manager -> Network adapters -> Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) -> Driver (tab) -> Microsoft 6/21/2006 10.0.22621.1555

Any advice short of reinstalling windows would be appreciated. I realize I can do that, but that would be a big hassle, hope there's some other solution. Is this a known problem?

Thanks. I realize I can reinstall Windows. That is the last resort. I was hoping there was a different solution. I was hoping somebody would post: "Oh this is a known problem, use driver instead".
