Precision 7530 (A7) ME FW Downgrade - Request MeSpiLock Failed

I am getting the following error when my Precision 7530 boots:

(A7) ME FW Downgrade - Request MeSpiLock Failed

It started when the Dell update program installed updated something. It was many months ago and I have, as suggested in many forums, updated the BIOS. I have also done a clean install of Windows and followed many of the solutions I have found online for other Dell computers.

So far it is just annoying, but what is more annoying is that Dell says my very expensive laptop of out of service warranty but the problem was caused by Dell software (ie Dell Command Update) and they can't fix it.

Can anyone help?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

@DELL-Cares

Thanks for your private messages - as noted in my post, the laptop is out of service warranty so there is no need for you to check for me.

Without a service warranty for my laptop will Dell provide support for an issue caused by Dell updates? Does Dell require me to pay for it to help fix the issue caused by the Dell updates?
