Precision 7710 fast battery wear
Hello all,
in January 2022 I bought a second hand Precision 7710, with new Li-Ion battery MFKVP. From January to August battery health decrease from 98% to 59%. Last week I bought replacement battery MFKVP, and for only 3 days use battery health decrease from 98% (out of the box) to 85%. I use original 240W powersupply. Is this normal? Should I look for more serious problemday 3a

Batteries don't last as long as they used to years ago. They can start to weaken after only 1-2 years. They even can fail during that time. Batteries are only warrantied for the first year on new laptops. See-

Is the replacement battery OEM Dell, and how old is it (somewhere in the string that likely starts with CN, KR, etc.is a 3-digit field set off with hyphens -- what is that code)?
It will look like this: KR 0C4HCW 71275 688 0000 X00
the 688 is the date code (the first digit is the year of manufacture; in this case, 2016).
