Precision 7710 keyboard issue
Hello,
I am experiencing a rather "funny" issue.
In Czech we use some special characters like "Č" which, in upper case, is written as ˇ+C. "ˇ" is typed in as "invisible" and when followed by appropriate character it joins them into the final character.
And now the issue - when I try to type the invisible "ˇ" it directly types in two visible "ˇˇ" and there is no way to write C under the hook. This happens everywhere through Windows (Win10Pro 20H2) and in absolute majority of apps. The funny part is, that in GIMP image editor it types everything correctly - that is where I coped the original "Č" from.
Few notes - tested with same result using built-in and external USB keyboard. Testing done before and after updating to latest bios and drivers. Anything that could have been updated was updated.
Thanks for any possible ideas

If the issue is happening on both the internal and usb keyboards, you may be looking at a windows bug or something wrong with your install.
Try doing a fresh windows install while making sure to select the correct language and keyboard settings. Also try and see if you can reproduce the error on another computer.

Hi James,
After some further test (changing keyboard layout) it really seems like an OS problem. But taking into account all the SW I have installed, all the compatibility troubleshooting which I already forgot etc., I will rather live with this issue than go through it all again. I was hoping for some minor HW issue since new keyboard is way cheaper than time required for clean install.
Still thank you for sharing your thoughts and have a great day!
