Precision 7730 display lined/flickering in BIOS

Hi everyone,

I've just ordered a well-specced Precision 7730 which was going to be my pride and joy.

The day after it arrived, after turning it on, the screen is flickering badly and covered in lines - see photos. This improves slightly the longer the screen is on, but does not go away entirely. The laptop was removed from the box and placed on my office desk and not moved.

The really disappointing thing is, I returned the first laptop for a replacement, and this one (the replacement) exhibits the exact same behavior. The screen issues are present in startup/POST, in BIOS, and in either windows or Ubuntu. In the shots below, the screen should be a uniform purple.

I'm absolutely gutted, for a 10k laptop, having a flaw like this is unacceptable. Two laptops, same issue directly out of the box.

I wanted to love this, I've owned two high end Precisions before - an M* and a 7510, and those were great. But this is unusable.
