I have the same problem. I think this am just out of warranty and it seems odd that a very limited used laptop would just stop outside of warranty. HMMMMM
The manual Dell provides does not give all different variables of light sequences. Mine does not match any of them which leads me to believe the motherboard is the issue. Again, dell has been notorious for bad motherboards and sweeping their dirty laundry where nobody will find it. I am a firm believer this is one of those piles especially since there are two versions of motherboard for the M6800. The fact that the HD popped out and into another M6800 and was fully functional also indicates something is wrong with the chassis. Dell does not care to assist even after I have contacted them they said to move into support chat would cost $$$ per minute on a machine that will not boot. No faith in dell anymore and that is why other brands are recommended for Autocad over a dell anymore. Michael will drive this company into the ground with his antics and won’t even flinch because of his countless Billions preying on consumers with known inferior internal components.

Have you tried removing the CMOS battery?
If not...
***DONT ATTEMPT TO BOOT TO O.S.***
Check the settings in the BIOS and make sure it is as you wish (Boot order correct, sata in ahci or ide{ahci preferred} secure boot, etc.)
Before you save and exit go ahead and plug/insert W10 install media then save and exit
When it reboots hit F12 to enter boot menu and select install media....go ahead and re-install W10
At this point you *should* be good

I also bought another used M6800 and dumped the hard drive into that machine with success.

Have you checked the boot code lights?
(Storage, Power, and Wifi) At boot when the system does it's self test, there will be a pattern shown on those lights if there is any kind of error.
