Where does the Switchable graphics menu gone for Dell 7540?

I have Dell 7540 with NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 + integrated GPU.

I need to disable the integrated GPU and use only the Quadro, because otherwise the switchable graphics makes problems in Linux and I'm not able to get any proper drivers for that (single dedicated GPU should work just fine).

I'm pretty sure, when the notebook was new, there was a menu in BIOS "Video / Switchable graphics" to enable only the dedicated GPU. But now, the menu is missing and I can't find it anywhere.

Recently, the notebook has been repaired because of some PCI degradation error, i.e. the whole motherboard and GPU was replaced for new parts and BIOS upgraded to 1.10.2. I tried to downgrade BIOS to 1.9.0, but the menu is still missing.

Any idea why the menu can be missing? Can it be caused by BIOS upgrade or by the replacement of the parts (even for the same type)?

To close this issue... I've got the 2nd motherboard/GPU replacement and the Switchable Graphics options appeared there again as it should (viz photo).

It's just sad that the guy from support was trying to convince me that the option is not there by deisgn.. while looking just into some BIOS simulator (obviously not accurate) without checking any real 7540 machine with NVIDIA card.

I checked that even the user manual for Dell 7540 mention there should be an option "Switchable Graphics" in BIOS.
But for some very strange reason, it's not there in my BIOS setup.

Any help how to get that "Switchable Graphics" option back to BIOS would be highly appreciate.

If you have windows installed on the computer, check the device manager and verify that both the Nvidia and Intel graphics devices are present, is the Nvidia device is not in the device manager, then your GPU is either not present, not installed properly, or it has failed

If both devices are present, you might want to try downgrading to an older Bios version to check if the option is there.

In the Windows10 Device manager, I can see the both graphics: Intel UHD 630 + Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000.

I tried to downgrade BIOS two versions down to 1.8.2. I run system Diagnostics from boot menu without any problem. I also tried to restore BIOS to defaults and factory settings, but the option "Switchable graphics" is still missing.

What if the problem is in firmware of Nvidia GPU (which was replaced together with motherboard), is it possible to update it somehow?

It's possible that your GPU was replaced with the max-q version?  If i remember correctly, the max-q cards will not run in discrete mode.

It doesn't seem to be max-q version, at least it's not mentioned in any Windows tools.

Sorry, I don't have the notebook anymore to check it, but I remember I've tried multiple BIOS versions without any help. What helped was the motherboard replacement.
