0x0000000d error
trying to connect my new windows 7 64 bit machine to a network printer which is connected to a dell 32bit desktop. i can see the printer but when i try to install it i get the error 0x0000000d . printer sharing is turned on. i can print from other 32 bit laptops on the network but not my 64 bit desktop. i tried to download the driver from dell directly onto my machine but it requires me to phyiscally connect my cp to the printer, which isn't going to be an easy task. i can view alll the computers on the network and comicate with them , just cant print. the printer is a delll mfp1125.

Im assuming that you did add a 64bit driver to host computer already.

Hey Allcat,
On your 64 bit machine you need to install the 64 bit driver and then select wireless/Network and add the printer.

i found i had to install R146832.exe on my XP desktop (Dell AIO Printer 926 was connected there to a USB port). this made sense because that level of driver did add support for vista and windows 7. i then installed R150575.exe (64 bit version of same driver) on the windows 7 machine and manually added the printer as network peer-to-peer. only odd thing was i had to type the XP computer and printer name before the driver install program could see it. btw, the driver install instructions didn't mention you need to run setup.exe in the folder where the zipped files are extracted.(C:\dell\drivers\Rxxxxxx)
