I have tried several times to install the printer drivers on my laptop which is running on windows 8.   I deleted where I had previously tried to install the printer from the CD and then downloaded the files from the website.

When I'm downloading, it copies the files and then  starts to install.  It appears to install the scanner driver but a red x appears for the printer driver and it says:

Windows can't install the Dell 1135n Laser MFP printer driver. To obtain a driver that is compatible with the version of windows you are running, contact the manufacturer.

I am running on Windows 8 and that is the driver I picked right of the Dell website.
