1320c Printer with Network Card - Problems with Admin Password

Help! - I have purchased and installed a Dell 1320c with the optional network card from a UK reseller, however I am unable to configure any of the printer settings through the EWS.  As soon as I change the settings I am prompted for a username and password to save these.  entering username "admin" and a blank password does not work - it just keeps re-prompting me up to 3 times then fails.

I have not set a control panel password so this is not the cause.

I am using windows vsta business 32-bit fully service packed.  I have also tried this from another windows vista machine with no luck.

I am using Internet Explorer as my browser platform.

I want to configure the location, and email reports etc, and especialy the colour reporting on which users have printed what, however these options are only available through the EWA - not through software installed on my pc.

I work in IT so should be able to do this no problems, however its not proving too easy.

Because this was bought from a reseller rather than from Dell direct they will not give me technical support.

To restore the factory settings:
1. Power OFF the printer and DISCONNECT any data cables.
2. Open the side cover.
3. While pressing the Continue and Cancel buttons at the same time, turn on the printer.
4. CONTINUE to PRESS and HOLD the Continue and Cancel buttons until ALL the indicators are turned
on, then release the two buttons.
5. After the Continue, Error, and Ready/Data indicators go out, close the side cover.

The printer will:
* Initialize the non-volatile memory (NVM).
* Restart
* Prints the Printer Settings and Device Settings pages.

CAUTION: DO NOT turn off the printer during this process or the printer will cease to function.
