1710 Small Paper Sizes not supported!?

I bought the 1710 Laser printer to print a bunch of invitations...
In the tech specs it says the printer can handle paper sizes down to 3x5 inches. (The smallest size I need to print will be 4x5½ inches so I thought the printer would be good for me...).
And yes, the paper goes through the printer but it wont print on the right place because there is no way (that I have found) to manually specify the paper size. The smallest size supported in the list of pre-defined paper media is "Statement" (5x8 inches).

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to work around this? And if so, how?

Thank you!
/Fredric

Yes, that's what I read in the manual and a big reason I thought this printer would work for me... It's just that when I print I have to choose from one of the following pre-defined media types and the 3x5' is not included:

Media Type:
Auto Feed: A4, A5, JIS B5, Letter, Legal, Executive, Folio, Statement, Universal
Manual Feed:A4, A5, JIS B5, Letter, Legal, Executive, Folio, Statement, Universal, Envelopes
