2155 CDN Duplex Copy Problem
Looking for some help with a 2155cdn. We acquired a new unit about a year ago. Supposedly (second hand account) during that time the ADF would create duplex copies without fail. It is now only producing single sided copies (binding settings and any other setting have been checked a million times) with no errors or other odd functionality. The flatbed does prompt for a second sheet when duplexing and works fine and printing duplex works fine. It seems (according to a google search) that I am not alone with this problem. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on possible causes/fixes. Any ideas are welcome!
Thanks for the help

Hello Firesidechat,
Reviewing the user guide for this model, you would need to specific the 2 sided option on each use. I tested the step in our lab using both the flatbed and autofeeder without issue. If you still run into issues try resetting the printer back to factory defaults after completing a firmware update..

Thanks for the info Joseph,
Tried what you suggested (current firmware update then defaults reset) with no luck. Set to Long-Edge or Short-Edge 2 -Sided using the ADF, but the resultant copy prints only on one side. Not sure what else it could be. No error codes to be had.
Thanks again

Firesidechat,
Are you able to print duplex if you send the request from a computer?

Hi Joseph,
it turns out that a second 2155CDN exists in our organization. I gave this one a copy duplex try but again , no luck.
Since I've never seen this feature work (just told it once did), could you verify my sequence of failure and let me know where I may have gone wrong?
Press Copy button > Scroll to 2-Sided > Select "Long Edge" or "Short Edge" > Place a two-sided document into the ADF (auto doc feeder) > Press Start > Scan commences and double-sided copy is produced after scan. ???
Thanks for the help

Hello Firesidechat,
I apologize as I believe we may have not been fully on the same page. This printer does not perform two-sided to two sided. It will only combine single sided docs into two sides. Example being page one and two only scan on the front but end being on one page when printed.

Th reason for this is that this unit does not have the ability to flip the page automatically as it is scanned by the printer.
