3000cn Toner Cartridge

Question

I have just turned on a new 3000cn. I get a message that reads replace the black cartridge. the instructions state tht i lift a handle to the right of the cartridge. I hav done so but am unable to remove it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks, Jason A. Holbrook

We just unpacked our brand new 3000cn yesterday, and it is now telling us to replace our black and cyan cartridges. We have only printed about 30 black pages, so I know the cartridges aren't empty.

How do we clear these messages?

Perhaps the toner is caked up on one side? Try removing the cartridge and gently tilting it from side to side (or tapping it on a hard surface to unstick any adherent toner - put a paper towel under the cartridge first, though!)
