3100cn can register hostname in ddns?

We have Dell Printers 3000cn / 3100cn / 5100cn. The Firmware of the 3100cn is 200503021148 / 6.31 (latest i think). We use DHCP to provide Ip-Adresses. Our DHCP Server provides a DNS Domain and DNS Server to all DHCP -Clients (the domains is unsecure dynamic). We put the marker to DHCP under the dns (means to use the DNS Server provide by the DHCP Server), but the printer didn`t register its hostname to dns, why?

The fullqualified domain name is seen in the dhcp lease, so the printer knows the right hostname and the domain, but didn`t register the name! For what the printer having the DNS option, only to resolve names?
