3100cn stuck in WinXP spooling process

I've been using the 3100cn for about two weeks and intermittently the printing task gets hung-up spooling in the computer tasks. It's using ± 97 of the CPU time. I have the 3100cn connected to the computer via the USB port. The only way out seems to be to go to the Windows Task Manager, highlight spoolsv.exe and end the process.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Are you printing using the PostScript or PCL drivers?  If using PostScript, turn on the "error handling" options within the driver for anything that doesn't print correctly.  This adds considerably to the output time for jobs that print correctly, so I wouldn't use it as a matter of course.  If using a PCL driver, I have no further ideas.

Best,

Brian
