3110cn Cannot Clear Print Queue

Sometimes the print queue on my 3110cn will hang and I cannot print anything unless I close all documents and reboot my computer. What happens is a document hangs at "Sent to Printer", and if I try to delete or cancel the document, or even Cancel All Documents, the status will change to "deleting" but it never goes away. Is this just a bug, or is there a way around it? It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens often enough to be annoying. It's really inconvenient to have to reboot my computer while I'm in the middle of something, then have to call it all back up to try to print it again. I have tried turning off the power to the printer for a few seconds, but that does nothing.
